Country style wedding in Borgo San Felice, in the heart of the most authentic part of Tuscany
20 km from Siena, and a little more than an hour drive from Florence, is located Borgo San Felice, in the Municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
In this dream place, in full harmony with natural surroundings, is located the sole Relais & Châteaux in the territory of Chianti Classico. In this exceptional location has been celebrated the marriage of a bridal couple.
The exclusive event has been organized in three days, with the aim to re-create the typical atmosphere of village fete, with characteristic elements of the country landscape. On arrival, the day before the ceremony, the guests were welcomed in the main square, among festive flags, a maxi brazier and a circle of sofas to delimit the welcome area of access of the event.
The day of the ceremony, the spouses entered in the church between arches of olive trees and candid flowers that delimited the path towards the altar.
The altar, decorated with wildflowers, seemed as suspended in space, how to preserve forever the union of the couple.
After the ceremony, a welcome aperitif has been served between olive trees; a simple welcome, but of great effect, with about 2000 candles to create a bright pathway that led the guests to a big greenhouse.
Completely surrounded by greenery, the guests took a seat at beautifully decorated tables, in a jubilation of colours, perfumes and feelings; compositions of bluebells, lisiantus, garden roses, dahlias, aster novi-belgii, scabious.
In support of the dinner, a special attention was the photo corner, curved out in a genuine country framework, with local characteristic items, perfect placed in a more festive and modern context.
At the end of the event, in the third celebration day, a departure brunch was offered to all guests.
Customer’s request: preparation simple but elegant, that enhances the country landscape. Maintain the idea of village fete, by adding floral decorations and decorative items.
The proposed solution: enhance the typical elements of the place (old work tools, hay bales, fruit crates, barrels, demijohns) combining with the more classical decorative items.
Number of guests: 200 people coming from different parts in the world.
